One might reasonably suppose that spelling out my ‘positions on the issues’ should be the highest priority for a Congressional campaign.
I prefer to start by clarifying my approach to all complex issues, which is precisely not to nail down some pre-determined solution (or slogan). As I’ve explained elsewhere, I have an engineering and architecture mindset, which means reserving judgment until the allocated time for exploration and debate has been exhausted.
Prior to that, for each issue I can explain what I see as a reasonable range of plausible and defensible solutions to be explored. I’ve started doing just that while filling out candidate surveys and questionnaires from various organizations. As I complete them I’ll present it all here, with more depth and clarification.
